Phoenix Statue

The phoenix is a mythological creature sacred within a wide range of cultures throughout the world, including the traditions of the Persians, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Chinese, and Indians. From this the Phoenix is reborn young, and places its ashes in an egg made of myrrh.

Here the sacred phoenix has been brilliantly brought to life in the form of a statue from the designs of Tom Wood. Shown rising from its flaming nest, a creature of magic and flame, the piece is hand painted and sculpted of translucent resin so that the light within your home or sacred space gives it an almost luminescent quality. Bastet Feminine Divine Statue

Shown here in her the form of a woman rather than a Lion or a domestic cat, the Ancient Egyptian goddess Bastet is portrayed as the epitome of the feminine divine. Regarded as a goddess who protected Egypt, its royal family, and its people, Bastet was particularly revered, as were all cats within the land. She was also associated with beauty of movement, agility, strength, caution and other such feline qualities that she was said to embody. In this case, she is imbued with grace and beauty, shown as a lithe woman garbed in the traditional robes and headdress in which she is often portrayed. Standing with her hand on her hip, her skin is jet black in contrast to the gold of her clothing, and the feline eyes that rest beneath two feline ears. Place this 10 1/2", cold cast-resin statue upon your altar and celebrate the goddess to bring the joy and protection she offers into your household.

Diana Statue

Diana, the Roman counterpart to the Greek goddess Artemis, is the celebrated deity of the Moon and the Hunt. She is a goddess of light and virginal purity, said to dwell in high mountains and deep within sacred woods. She has sworn to never marry, and instead is a goddess of wild animals and the woodland, who was said to possess the power to control animals and speak with them. She was also said to protect virgins, and women in general.

The sacred goddess Diana is portrayed here as a youthful woman, standing in a loose robe barefoot and wreathed in laurels. With one arm draped over a tall stag, she appears as a nymph or other such spirit of the wood, with a verdant staff in hand and a sword belted to her lithesome waist. The whole of the statue has been sculpted of cold cast resin and hand painted so as to lend the impression that it has been made of copper or bronze, with only the slightest of color accents bringing to life the greens that are part of her attire.

The entire statue measures 10 1/4" high and 6" wide.
